Every first and second Saturday Three Door Studios hosts Open Studio from 9-12pm. Open studio is three hours of drop in, uninstructed creative time. Drop in, bring a project, coffee, use our supplies or bring your own, come make a new friend, or don’t…we don't care. Just come, hangout, and create!
Your ticket includes, use of designated supplies from all three Three Door Studios artists, space to create both inside and outside, coffee and water. Feel free to bring your own snacks for yourself or to share.
Supplies up for use:
Mixed media tools such as markers, magazines, scissors from Emily of The Playful Space
Sewing supplies including sewing machines, fabric, rulers, thread, from Amanda of The Studio Bakersfield
Acrylic paint, brushes, printing/stampling tools from Madison Cowan
Sewing 101
Project: Hemming a garment
Time: 10am-2:30pm

In this workshop we will be learning to operate a sewing machine and how to hem!
Focusing on learning to operate a sewing machine and hem a garment, students will learn:
Properly thread a sewing machine
Types of machine needles and their purpose
Taking length off of a garment in preparation for hemming
Sewing a finished hem
****it is encouraged to bring your own sewing machine if you own one (not required), as well as a garment or two that you wish to shorten.
